I got up early this morning had some shopping to do
I was late for the bus, it was waiting and I thought: Thank you!
The busdriver said: Good morning, how do you do?
I wish you a nice day! and I answered: Yes, the same to you!

It‘s a very rare thing to meet nice people on a foggy day like this
we‘re just sitting there not communicating tired in our seats
but this busdriver kind of woke me up in his friendly and charming way
now I feel so good and from the bottom of my heart I feel I‘ve gotta say

Today is a good day, I feel love all around

So I met this elderly lady, I was blocking her way with my bags
I said: I‘m sorry ma‘m! She said: Don‘t you worry, I‘m not that fast
walking with my crutches year by year I am used to take it slow
thanks to God I‘m alive and I‘m here look at me, still on the go!

It‘s a very rare thing to meet nice people on a rainy day like this
we don‘t look at each other we‘re rushing and running through these dirty city streets
but this elderly woman surprised me a lot with her patient way
it‘s good to grow old and from the botton of my heart I feel I‘ve gotta say

I tried to cross the road while I was on my way back home
too many cars it‘s a total overload, in every car one was sitting as if on a throne
they were all passing by, I tried to catch someone‘s eye just to say hi
suddenly a car stops- ooh what a nice guy!

It‘s a very rare thing to meet nice drivers during the rushhour‘s heat
there is war in the streets no one wins everyone‘s in defeat
but this driver made me smile and wave by giving me way
I remember him laughing at me so I had to say
