Here I Am

I went for a walk to clear up my head
but many confusing thoughts rushed through my mind instead
I couldn‘t focus on anything clear
no right solutions seemed to be near
‘cause too many should-haves and could-haves
and do-this‘ and do-that‘s
were paralyzing me to feel free

Now look at me ‘cause
Here I am, I‘m kind of naked in front of you
and here‘s my heart don‘t you break it ‘cause it‘s opening up to you
and here is my soul giving all the love I feel to you
here I am for you

I tried to hide all my pride deep inside
it was somebody else I wanted to be
yes I guess that‘s the name of the game the desirable aim is glory and fame
but the price is you may lose your dignity
I got fed up had to stop
saying cheese just to please
it all had become a tragicomedy

Now look at me ‘cause
Here I am...

I tried to fit in within this loony bin
and I began to lose my identity
let me get it straight I hate to wait want to create something great
but I hesitate to find a way out of this odyssey
so that‘s it I gotta quit
my being nice my self-sacrifice
and live again in honesty
